I’m pleased to share some of the process and tools I use to design for performance.
Firstly, you can download the double sided A3 performance design tool to support performance gap analysis and then an evidence-based solution design leveraging behavioural economics inspired nudges, habits and development strategies. If you’re keen to learn more you can check out my recorded webinar on how to use the tool at the bottom of this post.
The webinar and tool are free, but please don’t stop there..
Book customised Design for Performance workshop for your L&D team today –
This workshop arms L&D professional with the skills to be performance partners. Developing evidence-based approaches for impact and learner experience design.
I run face-to-face and virtual in-house workshops that are customised to your L&D teams needs on how to use this approach. It’s ultimately a skill, so my workshops include opportunities to practice with realistic scenarios and feedback. Ive conducted versions of this workshop for hundreds of people from Australia to the US to great acclaim, and I’ve been constantly improving my process and tools.
These workshops use the webinar content as a starting point and expand from there to include:
-
A 15-page guide including top tips for each stage for each attendee
-
Opportunities for coaching and guided simulated practice with authentic scenarios in your context
-
Customised options to emphasise key elements just touched on in the webinar, including but not limited to the use of personas and journey maps, nudge design, designing for ecosystems, digital learning strategies, and evidence-based blended learning approaches.
Not in a L&D team but intereted – contact me to see when the next workshop in your location is.

Plenty of interesting thoughts and prompts in this unique Canvas for L & D. If the original Business Model Canvas was developed by a Swiss guy, this one is Australian and could be milestone in the evolution of L & D towards a truly more work flow integrated way of learning. I’ll try it out, will spread the word and am curious to know what results we’ll get. Btw, when I see this, I already see how this could evolve in the very near future Thanks for your generosity and let me know what drink you prefer 😉
